The Oakville Soccer Club and Oakville Blue Devils FC Merge to Form #OneTownOneTeam

News

The Oakville Soccer Club (OSC) and the Oakville Blue Devils FC (BDFC) are thrilled to formalize their landmark union, coming together to create a comprehensive player pathway that encompasses all levels of soccer development. Under the banner of #OneTownOneTeam, the clubs have now formally combined decades of expertise, rich history, and a shared passion for the game.

Over the past year, OSC and BDFC have collaborated under the #OneTownOneTeam initiative, integrating teams into OSC’s Ontario Player Development League (OPDL), RDP, ADP and recreational streams. This partnership has now formalized into a full merger that brings the Blue Devils’ League1 Ontario license under the Oakville Soccer Club umbrella as of the 2025 season. This union expands OSC’s player pathway from grassroots all the way to the semi-professional level, ensuring a seamless progression for athletes within one unified club structure.

This partnership marks an exciting chapter for soccer in Oakville, with a commitment to equally resource and prioritize both the Men’s and Women’s programs. Starting this season, the Senior Men’s program will be led by Duncan Wilde and Billy Steele—coaching icons deeply connected with the Blue Devils’ legacy and synonymous with excellence and a winning history. In the coming weeks, OSC will be unveiling exciting news regarding leadership for the Senior Women’s program. Both the League1 Ontario Men’s and Women’s teams will now serve as the pinnacle of OSC’s player development pathway, uniting under one competitive umbrella for the future of soccer in Oakville.

As the community’s love for soccer continues to grow, the integration of League1 teams at OSC will provide an aspirational goal for players at every level, from grassroots to semi-professional. Over the next year, OSC will engage the community in selecting a new team name that retires the Oakville Wild and Blue Devils brands and embodies the spirit and legacy of both OSC and BDFC, forming a vibrant and inclusive identity for the Club’s competitive program.

“This partnership represents an incredible opportunity for the entire Oakville community,” says Katryna Indewey, Executive Director of OSC. “By coming together, we are setting the stage for stronger, more unified soccer programs that benefits players at every level. The Oakville Soccer Club is proud to have worked with the incredible team at BDFC to agree to come together and expand our pathway in a way that honors our shared histories and ensures the growth and development of soccer in our town. This merger reflects our commitment to bringing quality soccer to players at all levels of the game in Oakville.”

The 2025 season will bring bigger and better semi-professional soccer to Oakville, making every game a must-see event for residents. As #OneTownOneTeam, OSC is proud to continue building a dynamic, community-driven soccer culture for players and fans alike.
