As the Oakville Soccer Club celebrates its recent merger with the Oakville Blue Devils FC, the Club continues to move forward in building a strong senior soccer program. With the Men’s program in excellent and capable hands under Duncan Wilde and Billy Steele, OSC is committed to effectively resourcing the Women’s side to ensure a strong, equitable, and cohesive pathway in both programs. As such, OSC is thrilled to announce that Garrett Peters has been appointed as the League1/Senior Soccer Coordinator for the Women’s program.
Garrett brings a wealth of experience, currently serving as the Head Coach of the McMaster Women’s team, where he earned recognition as the OUA West Coach of the Year in 2023. His strong coaching history with the senior women’s program at London FC further enhances his credentials. Garrett’s passion for developing talent and commitment to excellence will be instrumental as he oversees the League1, League2, and U20 Women’s teams, ensuring a cohesive pathway for players.
Garrett shares, “The merger of Oakville Soccer Club and Oakville Blue Devils is so exciting! The community has a strong soccer influence in Ontario, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. I believe in the young talent Oakville is producing, and I want to ensure they have the best opportunities to succeed at the highest level. Thank you to everyone at OSC for this opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started!”
Katryna Indewey, OSC’s Executive Director, adds, “Garrett’s expertise and vision will be pivotal in building and strengthening our senior women’s program. OSC is dedicated to supporting female athletes and ensuring they have the resources and opportunities needed to excel within the game. With great leadership on both the Women’s and Men’s sides, we intend to build a powerhouse program that the Oakville community can rally behind!”
